OVERCOMING SEXUAL AND CHILDHOOD ABUSE

Sexual and childhood abuse is absolutely rife within our society. It is thought that up to one in three of us may be the victim of it. There is a great deal of shame and secrecy attached to this issue and there is also a very destructive legacy of abuse that can pass down the generation.

Abuse will create a knock on effect into many areas of life like relationships, health, self-esteem and in extreme cases will result in such despair that suicide seems to be the only way out.

There are no circumstances that a child is guilty of the abuse that has occurred. Within this workshop we look at the possible effects that each individual may have suffered as a result of abuse. This will often be different for each one but there will be themes that run through most people’s lives. We will also use techniques to help clear and heal the damage of abuse. There is also the added benefit of knowing that you are not alone in your experience. The group dynamic is very important here.
