Anger is at the root of many of the most destructive issues that face our society. Aggression, abuse, bullying and conflict are common outer expressions of anger. However, it is the inner applications of anger that can be even more significant. These are things like depression and stress. They account for more days off work than anything else. Anger will be one of the things behind most of our addictions like drinking, smoking, drugs and overeating. Within adolescence, it will show as antisocial or destructive behaviour, as this is the only way they know to express their anger.
